Haleon Pakistan starts local manufacturing of Panadol 500mg tablets in Sindh
Business Recorder • • 1 min read

Haleon Pakistan has begun producing Panadol 500mg tablets at its Jamshoro plant, shifting the medicine’s manufacture to its own facility. The company informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange of the start on Friday, describing it as a step to build its internal production capability and support product availability.
The move follows an investment of about $10 million (~PKR2.8 billion) announced in October 2023 to introduce manufacturing technology and increase capacity. Locally made tablets will carry a beacon engraving instead of the existing Panadol lettering, but Haleon said the visual change does not affect quality or efficacy. In January 2026, the company also approved £3.58 million, approximately $4.9 million, for upgrades to its Panadol Liquid packaging line, covering three products.
